Who are Gabor?

First launched in 1949, nobody would have imagined the heights that the shoemaker has reached today. The family-run business was originally created when siblings Bernhard and Joachim Gabor set up a small shoe factory in Barmstedt near Hamburg. As the company grew over the years, it gained a strong reputation across Germany for its high quality footwear and exceptional craftsmanship, thus cementing its popularity with footwear aficionados, and as word spread of its techniques and attention to detail, Gabor shoes went on to gain further notoriety across the globe.

Now, still as a family-run business and in its second generation, Gabor shoes can be found all over the world and are renowned for their comfort as well as high quality materials. While the brand is steeped in tradition, in recent years they have and taken in new technologies and styles, such as the fashion-focussed Gabor handbags, to make sure that everybody can enjoy Gabor footwear.
