How To Wear: White Jeans

How To Wear White Jeans Summer Style 2014

White Jeans are one of the biggest trends set to hit the high street for Spring and Summer 2014. But don’t just take our word for it – Celebrities such as Miranda Kerr, Cameron Diaz and the nations treasure Kate Middleton have all been spotted rocking the cool and sophisticated white denim look. But if like us at Mozimo shoes, you’re not to sure about how to wear the white denim trend yourself, then here we have some inspiration on how to wear it for a few different occasions. From nights out to casual days, there’s a way for every one to style the trend, and the easiest way to mix up your new wardrobe staple? …By choosing the right shoes of course!

Here at Mozimo we have a shoe for every occasion. If we begin by taking inspiration from Kate Middleton’s effortless style in our Casual Day look below, you can re-create the look by teaming your white jeans with the Peter Kaiser Imea ballet pumps.  The Imea shoes are a comfortable and chic ladies flat shoe with a gold coloured PK Crest, adding a touch of glamour. Add a few key pieces of jewellery, such as a gold toned bracelet and some simple gold loop earrings and wear your favourite summery top to complete your outfit.

If you’re planning to style your white denim for a more exotic occasion, such as lovely Garden Party during one of the beautiful sunny days we are certain to have this summer, then you’ll want a slightly more dressy shoe for the event. With a high heel sandal  such as the Gabor Moneymore, you will not only take advantage of the comfort from the mid height heel and platform at the front, but the strappy design also allows your toes to breathe and stay cool. In pink, orange and red the Gabor sandals add an eye catching pop of colour, perfect for adding a touch of glam whilst also keeping a casual cool vibe.

And finally, you may have been invited to share someone’s big day with them at a Wedding this spring. The beauty of white jeans is that they can be dressed up or down according to the occasion or event, and as you now know, the shoes make the outfit. Wear a simple blazer to compliment the clean lines of your white jeans and pop on a pair of our Peter Kaiser shoes.  Our popular ‘taupe furla’ finish is a wedding and occasion favourite, or you may want to walk on the wild side with the brand new bronze tiger finish of the Sylve shoe, which we also have a matching clutch bag for too!

How To Wear White Jeans For Any Occasion

Tips for wearing white jeans:

Wear the most flattering style for your body shape and size:

Skinny jeans may be on trend, but they don’t suit every shape and size. If you’re a pear shape you may feel more comfortable if you opt for a boot cut style. If you’re on the shorter size, a ankle grazing style will give the illusion that you’re a few inches taller! If you’re not used to wearing jeans, then maybe try a pair of white jeggings with a long tunic top to build up your confidence ready for the transition in to white denim.

Try before you buy:

It may sound obvious, but be sure to try on your new white jeans before you make the purchase. We’re all guilty of squeezing in to a few sizes smaller, or accidentally buying a poor fit. But white jeans can be unforgiving if you’re not careful. Denim also comes in all kind of textures and types, some have a nice comfortable stretch, other brands may be a bit more rigid than you’re used to! You’re going to look your best at your most comfortable though, so take that extra 5 minutes out of your shopping trip to head to the changing rooms.

Choose the right underwear(!):

One thing we often forget when wearing white clothing is that it can be incredibly see through! Depending on if you’re going for a thick denim or more linen type material, you’re going to want to ensure that your sneaky underwear isn’t on show. Go for a pair of flesh coloured panties or a comfortable thong – we’re not sure if a brightly coloured pair of neon knickers would be wise, but if you feel confident, you go for it!

Be aware of sticky fingers and grass stains:

Spring and summer is all about garden parties and picnics, but there is nothing more persistent on white denim than a grass stain on the bum or a bit of a beetroot on your lap! If you’re attending a family picnic you may want to pop some stain remover wipes in your hand bag or even take a spare few napkins to help shield your style. We would also suggest watching out for the neighbours dog or that grandchild with freshly mucky paws!
