The summer festival season finally kicks off next week with the grand daddy of them all…Glastonbury. Glasto, being the largest open-air music and performing arts festival in the world is best known for its contemporary music, but features dance, comedy and even cabaret.
Last year over 137,500 people bought tickets to the event, which was a total sell out within 12 hours. The Pyramid stage headliners, Blur, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young enthralled the crowd with classics such as Parklife and Born to Run. Mixed with modern day legends like Lady Gaga, The Prodigy and Bloc Party, the festival was a roaring success. However last year, we saw some of the best weather Glastonbury has ever seen, and apart from the Thursday night thunderstorm it was generally good dry footing conditions. However, regardless of the weather, I’m sure you don’t want to be wearing your flip flops to the cattle shed toilets or portable loos?
This year’s forecast is for sun on Wednesday with a 10% chance of rain when the gates open. But, the illusive question remains…do we pack for sun, rain or both? Though one thing is for certain, no matter what the weather is, Mozimo will have the perfect festival footwear:
If it’s wet, we recommend the Cadora Sukie women’s boot. Sporting patent leather with croc effect, this narrow fit knee length boot is perfect for struts to the poo pit at Glasto.
On the other hand, if it’s dry, why not try the new Fitflop Walkstar III Snake. This limited edition women’s fitness sandal would not look out of place in the front row to headliners Muse, Stevie Wonder and Gorillaz.
